An event of full day fun and masti
The first ever South-Asian Family Festival is coming to the PNE this summer. This inaugural SAF Festival will be a full day of fun with music, arts, cultural performances, and parades. The festival will include a marketplace, with vendors from both Canada and India, a fashion show featuring top Indian and Bollywood designers, a car and truck Show and Shine, plus many other features and attractions.
BC’s Lower Mainland is an area rich in ethnic diversity and is one of the most desired locations in North America. This community thrives on embracing cultural festivities from around the globe.
This year, the South-Asian Family Festival will bring together and celebrate this cultural diversity at the PNE Fairgrounds. Visitors from not only the GVRD, but from surrounding areas like Washington State and surrounding cities, will be attending this festival.
2023 event
This year, the South-Asian Family Festival will bring together and celebrate this cultural diversity at the PNE Fairgrounds. Visitors from not only the GVRD, but from surrounding areas like Washington State and surrounding cities, will be attending this festival.
The full-day event will include a myriad of events. International musicians and artists will grace the stage, providing on-going entertainment for the crowds. Various designers will feature the latest trends during the fashion show. In addition, there will be a Bazaar, where cultural products, traditional jewelry and costumes will be on display for shopping.
And no festival is complete without food. The South-Asian Family Festival will have exotic street food at various locations throughout the fairgrounds.
The PNE Fairgrounds will have all 25+ rides fully open, as will be most of the games and arcade sections.
The South-Asian Family Festival is exactly what the name states: a family event, where our communities’ rich culture, arts and beliefs are promoted and celebrated. So come and celebrate with friends and family on June 18th, 2023 at the PNE.
